A PSG supporter marries on the day of the Champions League final and shifts the ceremony to follow the match

Jean-Baptiste, a supporter of Paris Saint-Germain, postponed the start of his wedding ceremony from 7pm to 8pm on 30 May 2026 in order to follow the final of the PSG-Arsenal Champions League in Budapest. His future wife, Chloe, also supports the club.
Jean-Baptiste, an unconditional supporter of Paris Saint-Germain, will live a Saturday like no other: he gets married on 30 May 2026, the same day as the Champions League final between PSG and Arsenal in Budapest. Aware of the coincidence, he chose to slightly change the organization of the day to be able to follow the match.
The wedding date had been set in December, at a time when it did not seem obvious that Paris would immediately return to the final after winning the competition the previous season in Monaco against Inter. But over the course of the club's European journey, the sporting event and the private event eventually fell on the same day.
Interviewed by RMC Sport, Jean-Baptiste explained that he did not think, at the time of booking the date, that PSG would reach the final again: "I was in Monaco last year, my unconscious had to tell myself that for two years in a row it was impossible to return to the final. It was the next day that I seriously thought about it, thinking maybe it was a mistake.”

Rather than postpone the wedding, he preferred to adjust the schedule: the start of the ceremony, initially scheduled for 7:00 p.m., was postponed to 8:00 p.m. in order to follow the entire meeting, which is scheduled to kick off at 6:00 p.m. His future wife, Chloé, is also a supporter of the club led by Luis Enrique.
Jean-Baptiste concluded optimistically: “PSG will win and we will all be happy,” adding a nod to his family and companion: “Forza PSG, forza Chloé, my future wife, and kisses to my two children.”
A simple and friendly solution that will allow the couple — and undoubtedly some of the guests — to combine love and passion for football on a date that will remain memorable.
