Liverpool pushed to covet Marcos Senesi, but an agreement would already be reached with Tottenham

Liverpool remains tied to Marcos Senesi this summer, but the Bournemouth defender already has a deal to join Tottenham, according to Ben Jacobs. The change of coach at Anfield and the departure of Ibrahima Konaté revived the rumors, without the case being called into question for the moment.

Senesi would undoubtedly have been an ideal first recruit for Iraola in Liverpool: described by some observers as an "outstanding" player, he already mastered the Basque system and, with a free position in central defence, he could have claimed a starting position. However, this will not be the case, and now the success of Iraola's transfer window will depend on his ability to complete three or four reinforcements capable of quickly adapting to his style.
