Why it matters

- Interviewed by Sky Sport during the Dea training course, Elijf Elmas ensures that the group's withdrawal after the last match is intended to get back on a good footing and asks supporters to remain patient.
- Atalanta, Elmas: "Il ritiro ci farà bene. Capisco i tifosi, ma devono avere pazienza".
Atalanta attacking midfielder Elijf Elmas spoke to Sky Sport on the eve of the European Cup match against Kairat Almaty. In an interview given from the Dea ritiro, the Macedonian player highlighted the need for the course launched by the club: “The course will do us good. I understand the supporters, but they must have patience,” he said.
These few sentences summarize the position of the Bergamo group before approaching a Conference League match against a Kazakh opponent. Without going into detail about tactical preparation, Elmas insists on the importance of regrouping after the “last partita” and taking advantage of this collective work time to get the team back on track. The tone is measured: it is both about ensuring a physical and mental restoration and calming expectations around a club where the pressure from fans is naturally strong.
Atalanta, nicknamed La Dea, is therefore approaching this international meeting by favoring internal work. The use of internships – a widespread practice in Italy to strengthen group bonds and refine automation – shows that the staff wishes to capitalize on this moment to correct the imperfections noted recently.

Facing Kairat Almaty, a well-known team in Eastern European and Asian competitions, Atalanta will seek to impose its offensive style while avoiding mistakes that could be costly in the European Cup where every trip counts. Elmas, a player with appreciated offensive abilities, is among the elements expected to energize the midfield and fuel the offensive sector.
If his words are above all an internal position - encouraging the collective and calling for patience - they also take on a public dimension: the relationship between the club and its supporters is at the center of concerns. In a demanding championship and on the European scene, the tolerance of supporters can sometimes diminish, hence the direct appeal of the player.
Elmas' message remains clear and empowering: the training course must serve as a starting point for a sporting reaction, and the confidence of the fans, combined with patience, is a significant factor in allowing the team to regain consistency. Atalanta are now preparing to translate this speech into performance on the pitch in the next European match.
The rest
Atalanta prepare to face Kairat Almaty in a crucial European Cup match. The team's performance during this meeting could influence their dynamics in Serie A and their position in the group, making this training even more essential to correct the imperfections observed recently.
