Livingston FC have announced they will be offering free season tickets to all pupils in the last two secondary school years in the West Lothian area. Parents can accompany their children for just £5 per match. The club thus wants to strengthen its links with the local community before its season in the second division.
Saturdays are likely to be busier in the West Lothian area. Livingston FC announced on Friday that it would offer a free season ticket to all pupils in the last two years of secondary education in the area. Beneficiaries will soon receive their personal card.
The measure is accompanied by an offer for parents and carers: they will be able to enter the Almondvale stadium for the modest sum of five pounds sterling (around six euros) when they accompany their children to home matches. Almondvale Stadium has also recently been known by the trading name Tony Macaroni Arena.

In its press release, the club explains that this initiative aims to strengthen links between the club and its region. Livingston, which is not among the major Scottish clubs, hopes to attract the younger generation. The city has many Celtic and Rangers supporters, and its proximity to Edinburgh also favors the presence of Hibernian and Heart of Midlothian fans.
Livingston will play in the second tier of Scottish football next season. With this operation, the club is banking on local commitment to retain new supporters and further enliven the Almondvale stands.
