Brighton launch £30m bid for young Tottenham defender Luka Vuskovic

Brighton have submitted a £30m bid for 19-year-old Luka Vuskovic, while negotiations continue around Jan Paul van Hecke. The Seagulls also strengthened their defense with Andy Robertson and Marcos Senesi.
Brighton have reportedly made a significant offer, to the tune of 30 million pounds, to secure the services of young Croatian central defender from Tottenham, Luka Vuskovic. Aged 19, Vuskovic is considered one of the hottest defensive prospects in Europe.
Recruited by Tottenham in 2023 from the Hajduk Split, Vuskovic is yet to make a first-team appearance for Spurs. Last season he had a successful stint with Hamburg in the Bundesliga, where he played 30 matches in all competitions, including 28 in the league. His performances earned him his first national team caps and a place in Zlatko Dalić's 26-man squad for the World Cup.
Before his time in Hamburg, Vuskovic was also loaned to Westerlo in Belgium and then to Radomiak Radom in Poland. His profile now attracts Brighton, who are seeking to densify their defensive sector.

This offensive comes as the Seagulls leaders remain in discussions with Tottenham around another central defender, Jan Paul van Hecke. According to information, two offers for van Hecke have already been rejected by Brighton, who are examining the proposals but also want to prepare as best as possible for their upcoming season.
The south coast club has already strengthened its position this summer by recruiting Andy Robertson and Marcos Senesi, two free arrivals after the expiration of their contracts at Liverpool and Bournemouth respectively.
On the Tottenham side, the north London club is trying to rebuild after a difficult season where it came close to relegation on the last day. The club went through a turbulent period, passing through three managers after the dismissal of Thomas Frank and Igor Tudor, before stabilizing under the management of Roberto De Zerbi.
Brighton, who will return to the European scene next season via the Conference League, want to prepare for a busier schedule and see Vuskovic's profile as an option to consolidate their rearguard. However, the file remains to be followed, no official confirmation having yet filtered out.
