Carboni joins Parma permanently, Inter sets strict conditions for Berenbruch's departure

Parma exercised the option on Franco Ezequiel Carboni after a six-month loan and signed him until June 2030. Inter, engaged in a big summer clean-up, on the other hand ensures control over the future of Thomas Berenbruch by only considering a loan with a buyout clause.
Inter formalized the definitive sale of Franco Ezequiel Carboni to Parma, who activated the planned option after a six-month loan launched in January 2026. The left-back signed a contract with Parma running until June 2030, the clubs said. According to Football Italia via FCInterNews, no amount has been officially communicated.
Carboni joined Inter in January 2020 after spending time with Club Atlético Lanús and Catania. He gained first team experience through several loan spells: Cagliari, Monza, Ternana, Venice, Empoli and finally Parma, where he completed the last period on loan. This permanent exit is part of a vast summer reorganization of the interist group: the club monetizes elements outside the workforce to reduce the payroll and finance recruitment priorities.
The five-year contract offered by Parma indicates that the club sees Carboni as more than just a short-term replacement, and the operation allows Inter to take advantage of an asset trained at the club.

At the same time, Inter management has drawn a red line regarding hopeful midfielder Thomas Berenbruch. The player's agent spoke to management at the Caserma di Viale della Liberazione, but the message from the Nerazzurri is clear: no permanent transfer. Any operation must be carried out on the model recently used for Aleksandar Stankovic - that is to say a controlled loan leaving Inter with a mechanism to repatriate the player (buyout clause / return option).
Trained at the club since 2020, Berenbruch (21) joined the Primavera then played last season with the Under-23 in Serie C. Cagliari appears to be the main suitor to obtain his services in the form of a loan. Everything will depend on the acceptance by the Sardi of the conditions imposed by Inter, in particular the buyout clause which would guarantee the Milanese club to retain control over the development of the player.
The strategy is consistent with Inter's summer policy: permanently selling those whose value has peaked after loan cycles, while keeping strict control over youngsters still progressing.
