D'Amico new sporting director of Roma, Aquilani at Sassuolo, Abate at Torino: the big moves in Italian football

Italian football was shaken this afternoon by numerous significant announcements in terms of sports management and the sidelines. The main information comes from Roma, which formalizes the appointment of Tony D'Amico as new sporting director. The former manager of Atalanta thus reunites with Gian Piero Gasperini, with whom he shared a remarkable adventure concluded with a coronation in the 2023/24 Europa League in Bergamo. D'Amico will take up his duties next season, while while waiting for the end of the current financial year, Maurizio Lombardo will take over in the interim.

On the Juventus side, the Turin club is making a strategic turning point with the appointment of Giovanni Carnevali to the position of general director and delegated administrator, responsible for steering the sporting and managerial project.
