Dario Canovi tackles Milan management and Lazio policy

Dario Canovi, influential lawyer in the world of football, criticizes AC Milan's current strategy and the decisions made by Claudio Lotito at Lazio. He questions the logic of the project carried out by Milan's investment funds and points out Zlatan Ibrahimović's disengagement from the club. Canovi also has reservations about the management of Lazio and the future of Gennaro Gattuso.
Dario Canovi, renowned lawyer and agent, spoke on Tuttomercatoweb to comment on the hot news in Serie A, particularly concerning Lazio and AC Milan.
Regarding Lazio, Canovi was skeptical about Claudio Lotito's intentions, explaining that the president could draw inspiration from Aurelio De Laurentiis' strategy by owning several clubs, an approach he describes as "unserious". According to him, it would be more constructive to focus on a second team project to help young people progress. Canovi also warns that the purchase of a new formation could lead to a reproduction of the difficulties experienced by the Bari club.
Concerning Gennaro Gattuso, recently appointed to Lazio, Canovi believes that the coach would not hesitate to leave the club if the situation does not improve quickly. He indeed doubts Lotito's ability to keep his commitments, highlighting the pressure weighing on the technician in an environment considered hostile.

On the Flaminio stadium project and a possible sale of Lazio, Canovi completely excludes this hypothesis, affirming that Lotito will never consider a sale of the Roman team as long as this project is in progress.
Moving on to AC Milan, Canovi clearly distinguishes the situation of the Lombard club: “There, it is the entry of funds into Italian football which poses a problem. In my era, presidents were, above all, enthusiasts. Now, investors only think about profitability and resale. The arrival of Rúben Amorim represents the continuation of a policy of promotion and transactions, without any real substantive sporting project. He deplores the massive departure of executives orchestrated by Gerry Cardinale, believing that Milan now lacks a clear vision. »
Canovi also questions the involvement of Zlatan Ibrahimović, who, according to him, would have little concern for the club from the United States even though he is supposed to be a central figure in the Rossonero project.
Finally, Canovi concludes on Lotito's career, implying that his main interest remains politics more than the sporting future of Lazio.
