Key points

• Sassuolo is preparing to welcome Sebastiano Esposito, who comes to compensate for the departure of Andrea Pinamonti to Lazio.
• Esposito agrees Sassuolo move as Pinamonti heads to Lazio.

As part of the current Italian transfer window, Sassuolo is accelerating its recruitment following the departure of Andrea Pinamonti. The black and green club have reached an agreement with Sebastiano Esposito, a young striker trained at Inter Milan, who is on loan from Cagliari. This move aims to fill the offensive void left by Pinamonti, having joined Lazio on a paying loan with a purchase option estimated at 3 million euros.

According to information relayed by Sky Sport Italia and TuttoMercatoWeb, the agreement between Sassuolo and Esposito is now concluded in terms of personal terms. The player is expected to undergo his medical examination this Thursday before the official signing. This transfer is part of a loan exchange, since Riccardo Ciervo leaves Sassuolo to join Cagliari, where he will be coached by Fabio Pisacane.

Sassuolo had so far delayed Pinamonti's departure until his successor was found. It was only once the agreement with Esposito was almost concluded that the club gave the green light to the Italian striker to make his trip to Rome and finalize his move to Lazio.

Furthermore, Sassuolo is also working on another reinforcement as revealed by TuttoMercatoWeb: the Algerian full-back Rafik Belghali, currently in Verona, is close to joining the team led by Alessio Dionisi. This recruitment would be crucial to strengthen the defensive corridors and offer more depth to the squad in Serie A.

This transfer window therefore promises to be lively for Sassuolo, who is seeking to stabilize his team after an intense start to the season. Esposito, despite his young age of 21, has shown his talent during his previous experiences, notably in Cagliari, and is offered a great opportunity to establish himself within an ambitious project. For his part, Pinamonti hopes to revive his career in Rome by seeking playing time and regular performances.

This double change perfectly illustrates the dynamics of the Italian transfer window, where loans and exchanges of players are often favored to optimize the workforce without committing to excessively high expenses. Sassuolo hopes that these moves will allow it to maintain its place in the top half of the Serie A standings and approach the rest of the season with confidence.
