FIFA and the ROLLING STONES team up to celebrate the 2026 World Cup

To mark the 2026 FIFA World Cup, FIFA and legendary British band THE ROLLING STONES have announced a historic collaboration that celebrates the culture, creativity and shared passion of football and music fans around the world. This alliance will see the creation of three limited edition vinyl covers for the Rolling Stones' upcoming album on Capitol Records, entitled "Foreign Tongues". This project also includes an exclusive remix of the previously unreleased track “In The Stars”, which appears on the official compilation of the 2026 World Cup.

To extend this celebration, a line of clothing and accessories will soon go on sale, offering fans a new way to immerse themselves in the unique experience of the global tournament. Romy Gai, FIFA Commercial Director, underlined the importance of this event: “The World Cup is the greatest spectacle on the planet, bringing together billions of people through football, culture and common celebration. We are thrilled to welcome THE ROLLING STONES to this unique moment, bringing the energy, emotion and inimitable identity of one of the most iconic bands to the tournament experience. »

The specially designed vinyl sleeves combine iconic images of the Rolling Stones with graphics from the 2026 World Cup, creating collectibles commemorating a historic moment. This initiative is part of FIFA's strategic partnership with Universal Music Group, aimed at strengthening the links between football and music through the FIFA Sound label.

“Foreign Tongues”, scheduled for release on July 10, follows the critical and commercial success of previous album “Hackney Diamonds”. Created in less than a month at Metropolis Studios in London, this dynamic 14 tracks brings together Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood, as well as their regular collaborators, and notably pays tribute to Charlie Watts, the iconic drummer, through one of his last performances recorded before his death in 2021.

Enriched by the participation of prestigious artists such as Steve Winwood, Paul McCartney, Robert Smith and Chad Smith, this album will be available in numerous formats: CD, vinyl, special editions and collector's boxes. The single “In The Stars” will also be released on CD and vinyl.

Thanks to this partnership, FIFA and the Rolling Stones are merging their worlds to offer football and music fans a unique cultural experience on the eve of the biggest global sporting event.
