Guus Offerhaus follows his coach Anthony Correia and joins FC Utrecht

After playing under Anthony Correia at Telstar, Guus Offerhaus, 25, continues the adventure with his coach at FC Utrecht. The defender has signed up for several seasons with his new club.
Dutch defender Guus Offerhaus has officially left Telstar to join FC Utrecht. Aged 25, Offerhaus was free from any contract and chose to follow his coach Anthony Correia, whom he had already worked with at his previous club.
Indeed, Offerhaus opted to sign in Utrecht despite the interest of other teams such as FC Groningen or SC Heerenveen. The coming week will see the finalization and signing of his multi-year contract, thus formalizing his position among the FC Utrecht players.

Trained in particular at SC Heerenveen and FC Emmen, Guus Offerhaus moved to Koninklijke HFC in 2023 before joining Quick Boys, then Telstar a year later. In Utrecht, he will also find Neville Ogidi Nwankwo, another player who already worked under the management of Anthony Correia during their time together at Telstar. However, Ogidi Nwankwo already belonged to Utrecht before Correia's arrival.
Elsewhere, Utrecht are also hoping to complete the signing of Boy Kemper and had expressed an interest in striker Kaj Sierhuis, both of whom are free on contract. For the moment, the arrival of a center forward is not an immediate priority for the club.
This new collaboration between Offerhaus and Correia could bring more stability and cohesion to the Utrecht squad for the coming season.
