Julian Nagelsmann leaves Germany coach, Jürgen Klopp favorite to succeed him

It's now official: Julian Nagelsmann is no longer the coach of the German national team. Nagelsmann, who arrived in September 2023 at the head of the German selection, published a message for supporters: “I have thought a lot in recent days and I have spoken with people I trust, inside and outside the federation. You deserved so much more. »

Eager to quickly turn the page, the German Football Federation (DFB) is already working to find a replacement. According to several sources, German leaders are currently discussing with Jürgen Klopp, who says he is ready, in principle, to accept the position of coach. He therefore stands out as the natural favorite to take over from Nagelsmann.

As a reminder, Nagelsmann also led Germany during Euro 2024 in Germany, where the Mannschaft was eliminated in the quarter-finals by Spain, future European champion.
