The DFB has indicated that it wants to meet Jürgen Klopp after the departure of Julian Nagelsmann. Klopp has already made it known that he is generally ready to take the job.
The German Football Association (DFB) announced on its official website its intention to open discussions with Jürgen Klopp for the succession of Julian Nagelsmann. This decision comes after the termination of the contract of Nagelsmann, who has held the post of Germany coach since 2023.
“Regarding the appointment of a new coach, the DFB management now intends to hold negotiations with Jürgen Klopp. He has already made it known that he is, overall, willing to occupy this position,” specifies the press release published by the federation.

As a reminder, Jürgen Klopp has held the position of director of international relations at Red Bull since 2025. Before that, the 59-year-old coached Liverpool between 2015 and 2024.
The DFB did not detail the timetable or the outlines of these discussions. The matter should be closely followed both in Germany and internationally, given Klopp's profile and experience.
