FIFA appoints referees for Brazil-Norway and Mexico-England in the round of 16 of the 2026 World Cup

FIFA has confirmed the referees appointed to direct two matches in the round of 16 of the 2026 World Cup. For the duel between Brazil and Norway scheduled for July 5 at the New York New Jersey stadium, the refereeing direction will be provided by Ismail Elfath. He will be assisted on the lines by Corey Parker and Kyle Atkins, with Said Martínez as fourth official and Walter López replacing assistant.

For his part, Alireza Faghani will be in charge of the match between Mexico and England at the Estadio de Ciudad de México. The assistant referees will be George Lakrindis and Andrew Lindsay, while Jalal Jayed will serve as the fourth official and Zakaria Brinsi as the alternate assistant referee.
