Lucas Bergvall ready to leave Tottenham, several clubs on the lookout

Lucas Bergvall, Swedish midfielder from Tottenham, is considering a change of scenery due to his low playing time at the end of the season. As Spurs look to strengthen their midfield, Bergvall and his representatives have reportedly opened talks with Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest. Chelsea, once interested, would no longer be on the file. Currently in the middle of the World Cup, Bergvall recently played in Sweden's heavy defeat against the Netherlands (1-5).
Lucas Bergvall's future at Tottenham is uncertain. The young Swedish midfielder, aged 20, aspires to more responsibilities but has seen his playing time decrease under the direction of Roberto de Zerbi at the end of the season. Often used in the wrong way, Bergvall has failed to establish himself as a starter in his preferred position within the Spurs midfield.
In this context, the player is now exploring other avenues to relaunch his career. His representatives have reportedly made contact with Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest. Chelsea, for their part, would have abandoned the track after interest expressed during the winter transfer window. At the same time, Tottenham are reportedly looking to strengthen their midfield and have made an offer of around £80 million for Newcastle's Sandro Tonali, which the northern English club turned down.

Currently involved in the World Cup in the United States, Bergvall played in Sweden's match against the Netherlands, which ended in a 5-1 defeat in Houston last Saturday. Last season, he took part in 33 matches but also missed two months of competition following ankle surgery.
Bergvall's future therefore remains up in the air, while several Premier League clubs are carefully monitoring his situation after the World Cup.
