Mancini 'frustrated' by prolonged wait for contract extension

Gianluca Mancini, defensive pillar of Roma, says he is frustrated by the delay in negotiations to extend his contract (deadline: June 30, 2027). His agent considered the agreement finalized in January, but the club slowed down discussions. Inter is monitoring the situation while Gasperini rules out a departure.
Gianluca Mancini is still waiting for an outcome to his extension negotiations with Roma: his current contract expires on June 30, 2027. The Italian defender, important in the Roman squad and author of decisive goals this season – including a double in the derby against Lazio – sees the discussion dragging on and is starting to get impatient.
Asked by Sky a few weeks ago about his future, Mancini summed up the situation this way: “Negotiations are ongoing, I'm waiting. The contacts are there – my agent, me and the club – we discuss and we will continue. I'm waiting for answers and we'll see what happens. »

According to Corriere dello Sport, the defender, however, hoped for a different schedule: agent Riso had considered the extension to be almost concluded in January. Roma decided to prioritize other issues and discussions have since stagnated.
Inter, who are monitoring the situation closely, have inquired again about Mancini. For his part, Gian Piero Gasperini brushed aside the idea of an imminent departure: “He won't leave, so Inter can do what they want. »
The Roman management have reportedly offered Mancini a three-year extension with remuneration of around 3 million euros per season plus bonus. The player is now awaiting an official response from the club.
