By OnzeActu · · 1 min read
After his return to Nice following a season at Empoli, Rares Ilie could quickly return to Italian Serie B. Avellino, eager to strengthen his squad, is in advanced discussions with the French club to recruit the former Empoli player on a permanent transfer. Nice would be open to this departure, while Ilie's contract runs until 2027.
Avellino is taking steps to obtain the signature of Rares Ilie, currently under contract with OGC Nice. After an experience on loan at Empoli where he scored two goals in 28 appearances, the Romanian attacking midfielder returned to Nice. But his future seems to be taking shape again in Italy, on the side of Avellino who wishes to continue the adventure of the former Catanzaro in Serie B.

According to information relayed by Sportchannel214, Avellino has intensified its efforts and is preparing a substantial offer to secure the services of the player, born in 2003. Nice, aware of the contractual situation of the Romanian international (contract until 2027), would not oppose his departure, while the two clubs negotiate the conditions of the transfer.
For its part, Rares Ilie could be offered a new long-term lease, potentially until 2029, in order to establish a long-term relationship with the Biancoverdis. Discussions are continuing to allow the player to return to Serie B grounds and bring his experience to the Avellino project.
