The 2026-2027 season marks the end of the careers of Gianluca Esposito and Jonathan Spedalieri under the colors of Renate. The Italian club has made their departure official, after five years and two notable seasons respectively.
The curtain falls on the 2026-2027 season and, with it, the adventure of two notable Renate players comes to an end. The Lombard club formalized this Tuesday the non-renewal of the contracts of Gianluca Esposito and Jonathan Spedalieri.
Gianluca Esposito, key midfielder, leaves the “panthers” after five intense years, punctuated by 137 matches played, 3 goals scored and 7 assists. His consistency and leadership, affirmed by several captaincies, have made him one of the pillars of the group since 2019.

Arriving in the summer of 2024, central defender Jonathan Spedalieri will have left his mark on the club in two seasons: 71 matches, 6 goals, and two excellent campaigns finished in 5th then 3rd place in Serie C.
Renate wanted to salute the contribution of these two men, sending them his best wishes for the rest of their careers. Esposito and Spedalieri will, without a doubt, remain forever linked to the recent history of the Italian club.
