Rumors from Scotland: McCrorie close to Rangers, Celtic increase offer for Smajlovic, Kyziridis targeted by Greece

Ross McCrorie (28) is set to return to Rangers from Bristol City. Celtic have submitted an improved offer for Norwegian defender Zinedin Smajlovic (£3.9m + £1.7m bonus), while Hearts set a price range for Alexandros Kyziridis and Sabri Guendouz is heading for a six-figure move to Edinburgh.
Rangers are reportedly close to completing the return of Ross McCrorie (28) to Ibrox, with the versatile defender and Scottish international set to leave Bristol City to return to his former club. Discussions are progressing behind the scenes but no official amount has been communicated.
Celtic, for their part, presented an improved offer for Zinedin Smajlovic. The club offered £3.9 million plus £1.7 million in bonuses for the young central defender from Sandefjord (22). Despite interest from several clubs – including Rangers, Olympiacos, Hull City, Fenerbahçe, Toulouse, Feyenoord and Lyon – Sandefjord is in no rush to sell his player.

Rangers are also reportedly preparing a formal offer for Luke Graham, Dundee's 22-year-old centre-back, in the coming weeks. Dundee manager Steven Pressley said the club had received "plenty of phone calls" this summer about Graham, but no concrete offer had yet arrived.
In attack and on the wing, Hearts are attracting massive interest from Greek clubs for Alexandros Kyziridis. Olympiacos, PAOK, AEK Athens and Panathinaikos are said to be interested in the 25-year-old midfielder/winger's return to Greece, while Hearts are reportedly asking between £2.6m and £3.4m for their player.
Finally, Sabri Guendouz said goodbye to the supporters of Beerschot (Belgian D2): the 26-year-old striker is expected in Edinburgh for a medical examination with a view to a six-figure transfer to Hearts.
