Russia: the goalkeeper coach praises the solidity of his goalkeepers during the friendlies in May and June

The goalkeeper coach of the Russian national team, Vitaly Kafanov, paid tribute to his goalkeepers for their serious and error-free performance during the friendly matches in May and June, against Egypt, Burkina Faso and Trinidad and Tobago. He clarified that the goal conceded against Egypt was not attributable to Stanislav Agkatsev.
Russia's recent friendly matches against Egypt (0-1), Burkina Faso (3-0) and Trinidad and Tobago (3-0) allowed Vitaly Kafanov, coach of the coach's goalkeepers, to see the seriousness of his men. During this series of matches, four goalkeepers had the opportunity to defend the Russian goals: Stanislav Agkatsev, Anton Mitryushkin, Alexandre Maximenko and Denis Adamov.

According to Kafanov, each goalkeeper was called upon and was able to shine despite varied opposition. “The level of the opponents was different, but each of the goalkeepers had their share of work. Even though the number of delicate situations was limited, everyone showed stability. The goal conceded against Egypt is in no way the fault of Stanislav Agkatsev,” the technician clarified on Match TV.
The results are therefore generally positive for the Russian staff, who will have been able to test and validate the depth of their goalkeeper position in view of the upcoming deadlines.
