Ternana: Bandecchi expands relaunch project with Fedeli in pole position and new investors

La Ternana, removed from the registers after losing its affiliation with the FIGC, is building an ambitious project to return to Serie D, led by Stefano Bandecchi. Franco Fedeli moves away from San Benedetto to join the initiative, while two other investors are expected. The acquisition of Orvietana and the merger with Ternana Futsal lay the foundations for the project, supported by a popular fundraising campaign led by supporters.
La Ternana, a historic Italian football club recently excluded from the championships following the revocation of its federal affiliation, is actively preparing for its rebirth. The project, called “Operation Phoenix”, is structured around mayor-entrepreneur Stefano Bandecchi. His ambition: to bring Ternana up from Serie D with a new management team.
Franco Fedeli, former protagonist of the club, is now the favorite to join the future management. According to the latest developments, Fedeli, who previously considered a return to San Benedetto as a minority shareholder, finally seems ready to invest again in Terni. During his discussions with Bandecchi, the sporting aspect and the constitution of the team encouraged a renewed enthusiasm for this challenge, thirty-three years after his first experience with the club.

In addition, Bandecchi surrounded himself with a trusted advisor – a local sports expert – to build the company. Two other entrepreneurs are already on his list: one has solid experience in managing leading clubs in Italy, while the other, a native of Terni but active in another city, would be ready to commit with a moderate investment within a secure structure. Bandecchi insists on the open vocation of this project: “The structure is open to new members. »
The foundations of the project are based in particular on the acquisition of Orvietana, managed by Roberto Biagioli, and the merger with Ternana Futsal of Francesco Emanuele Tonel. These operations, currently being finalized, experienced a slight delay due to the June 2 bridge, but remain on the program in the short term. The Bandecchi camp denies any difficulty with the minorities of the current club.
On the supporter side, the mobilization is very real. The “La Ternana Siamo Noi” association launched a subscription operation at Bar Umbria in viale Cesare Battisti, allowing fans to join the project through membership, even for those residing outside the city thanks to banking services. Led by Fabio Biscetti, Anacleto Petigliani, Raffaele Francia, Claudio Maggi, Massimiliano Pileri and Carlo Taddei, the initiative aims to strengthen the club's associative base. Stefano Bandecchi did not fail to publicly support this approach on his networks.
