Thiago Pitarch wants to convince Mourinho and stay in the Real Madrid group

Thiago Pitarch, author of a good end to the season, wants to convince José Mourinho during the preparation which starts on July 13 at Valdebebas. The Portuguese wants to judge the young players (Pitarch, Gonzalo Garcia, Franco Mastantuono) before deciding on an integration or a loan.
Real Madrid will launch their summer preparation on July 13 with medical examinations at Valdebebas, before José Mourinho officially takes charge of his squad. The players still involved in the World Cup will return to the club during their international obligations, but the Portuguese technician will already have several important decisions to make.
Among the files to be studied are the future of several promising young people from the training center: Gonzalo Garcia, Franco Mastantuono and especially Thiago Pitarch. According to AS, the Spanish midfielder's priority is clear: convince Mourinho that he deserves a place in the professional squad and stay at Real Madrid next season.
Pitarch's progress accelerated at the end of the season. His rise to power began under the orders of Álvaro Arbeloa, who gave him his first minutes in the first team during the round of 16 first leg of the Champions League against Benfica, a match managed at the time by Mourinho. Subsequently, the young midfielder quickly established himself: he started 11 matches before the end of the season and finished 10, even overtaking Eduardo Camavinga in the hierarchy.
Pitarch is now preparing to represent Spain at the upcoming European Under-19 Championship to be held in Wales. At this stage, no major loan offer appears to have been formalized for him, and the player favors the idea of staying and fighting for a place with the Whites.
Mourinho has long believed that to progress, the youngsters around the club need regular playing time more than spending a season waiting on the bench. Thus, when a player has little chance of performing in La Liga, the coach prefers to consider a loan rather than slowing down his development. However, the Portuguese sees Pitarch and Mastantuono as outliers: he was impressed by Pitarch's performances at the end of the season, while Mastantuono has been followed since his breakthrough at River Plate.
The new coach therefore wants to evaluate these two elements visually during preparation before deciding on their future. If the conclusion is that regular playing time elsewhere would better serve their development, Real Madrid, staff and players will work together to choose the destination best suited to their progress.
