Liverpool side insist Ngumoha is not on the market. The managers consider the player as a key element of their project, especially as he plays in a position considered a priority to strengthen for next season. At the same time, Liverpool would be very interested in winger of Ivorian origin Yan Diomande, playing in Leipzig, whose arrival could complicate Ngumoha's playing time.
Rio Ngumoha distinguished himself during the 2025-2026 season, scoring two goals and providing an assist in the Premier League, including a winning goal against Newcastle on his debut in August. He made his debut under Arne Slot in the domestic cup, aged just 16 years and 135 days, becoming the youngest player to start a match for Liverpool. Trained at Chelsea, he joined the Reds in September 2024 before signing his first professional contract less than a year later. Following this signing, a court set a minimum compensation of 2.8 million pounds in favor of Chelsea, with possible bonuses and a clause of 20% on the capital gain in the event of resale.
