Lamine Yamal (18 years old) was voted Player of the Season in LaLiga after a brilliant 2025-26 campaign: 16 goals and 11 assists in 28 matches, 133 successful dribbles and 72 chances created. Hansi Flick wins the title of coach of the year.
Lamine Yamal was voted LaLiga Player of the Season after a remarkable 2025-26 season with FC Barcelona. The young Catalan winger, aged 18, played a major role in the coronation of the Blaugrana, champions of Spain for the 29th time, ahead of Real Madrid.
Statistically, Yamal ends the La Liga season with 27 direct goal involvements (16 goals and 11 assists) in 28 appearances — a total only surpassed by Kylian Mbappé (30). He also recorded 133 successful dribbles, the highest total in the championship, and created 72 chances: only Luis Milla (78), Edu Expósito (82) and Pablo Fornals (85) generated more dangerous situations.
FC Barcelona praised the versatility and impact of the young player: “He is the famous headache for opposing defenses, who must make a real effort to try to stop the Blaugrana offensive threats. Beyond the intangibles, the young Catalan scored 16 goals and provided 11 assists, no other player in LaLiga having provided so many passes resulting in a goal. »

Yamal becomes the fourth Barça player to win this trophy since its creation in 2008-09, alongside Lionel Messi (nine times), Marc-André ter Stegen and Raphinha. The young prodigy has missed the last six days of the championship due to a hamstring injury, but he is expected fit to join the Spanish selection for the World Cup this summer.
Hansi Flick, for his part, was voted Coach of the Year for the second consecutive season after leading Barcelona to the title. The German, 61, has already signed an extension which ties him to the club until June 2028 as he targets further trophies. Over the season, Flick averages 2.43 points per match in La Liga: among the club's coaches who have led at least five matches, only Tito Vilanova (2.84) and Pep Guardiola (2.45) have done better.
Finally, historic for Barça: only two technicians in the history of the club have managed to win three consecutive national titles - Johan Cruyff, who won four coronations between 1990-91 and 1993-94, and Pep Guardiola, author of a hat-trick between 2008-09 and 2010-11.
