Tottenham: Daniel Levy sells nearly 25% of his shares in the club's parent company

Daniel Levy, emblematic figure of Tottenham Hotspur, has reportedly sold almost a quarter of his shares in parent company Enic to Eight Sports Capital, reducing his stake to less than 5%. If neither Enic nor Tottenham have officially confirmed the sale, this movement marks a page that is turning for the manager present at the club for almost a quarter of a century.
This is a major turning point in the Tottenham organizational chart. Daniel Levy, who led Spurs as executive chairman for 24 years, has reportedly sold a 24.99% stake in Enic, the London club's parent company, to sports investment group Eight Sports Capital. From now on, its stake would drop to 4.89% within Enic. Note that neither Enic nor Tottenham have officially confirmed this transaction.
This sale comes after Levy left office in September 2025 following a reorganization led by the Lewis Family Trust, ultimate owner of the club. Despite the lack of details on the amount of the transaction, the club was recently valued at around £4.25 billion, an estimate of almost a billion for a 25% share.
Eight Sports Capital, owned by Triller, an American company in the technology and entertainment sector, is led by Brooklyn Earick, an American entrepreneur and big supporter of the Spurs, already interested in a buyout of the club last year. At the time, Tottenham formally refused this approach.

In a statement, Eight Sports Capital said it was "delighted to have signed this agreement to acquire a significant stake in Enic", while promising to "work with shareholders, management, staff, players and supporters to support the continued growth of Tottenham Hotspur".
For his part, an Enic spokesperson tempered: “We confirm that Enic and the club are not informed of a sale from Daniel Levy’s Family Trust.” The Spurs board and management team reiterate their commitment to delivering on promises made to fans at the end of the season.
Under Levy's leadership, Tottenham acquired a state-of-the-art training center and a brand new 62,850-seat stadium, one of the largest in England. Despite these major investments, his sporting choices have often divided supporters, with only two trophies won during his tenure: the English League Cup in 2008 and the Europa League last season.
