By OnzeActu · il y a 3 mois · 6 min read

Randal Kolo Muani has signed a five-year contract with Juventus, which pays €38m plus €12m in bonuses. The striker returns to Turin after a successful loan and joins Luciano Spalletti's squad for the 2026-27 season.

Why it matters

The return of Randal Kolo Muani to Juventus is a masterstroke for the Turin club, which is looking to strengthen its attack for the 2026-27 season. After a successful debut, Kolo Muani has proven his ability to score decisive goals, which could have a significant impact on Juventus' performances in Serie A. His association with other attackers could also reinvigorate the team in the fight for the title.

Context

Randal Kolo Muani, 26, made a big impression during his loan spell at Juventus, scoring 10 goals in 22 appearances. His return is part of a squad-building strategy by Juventus, which aims to improve its performance in Serie A and compete with the best teams in Europe.

Kolo Muani seals permanent Juventus return.

Juventus formalizes the permanent return of Randal Kolo Muani. The French striker, already on loan to the Old Lady during the second half of the 2024-25 season, signed a five-year contract with the Turin club, valid until June 2031. The transfer is valued at 38 million euros, with a maximum bonus of 12 million euros.

Kolo Muani left a very good impression during his time on loan in Turin: 22 appearances in all competitions for 10 goals and three assists, statistics highlighted by the club in its press release announcing the signing. On his Serie A debut with Juventus, he scored in his first three matches, equaling a record more than thirty years old held by Roberto Baggio, who scored a goal in each of his first three matches for Juve in 1990.

The return of the 26-year-old player (age to be verified depending on the date) is part of the logic of strengthening the offensive sector desired by coach Luciano Spalletti before the 2026-27 campaign. In its announcement, Juventus underlines the “professionalism and dedication” already displayed by Kolo Muani during his first stint and says it is impatient to see him play again in black and white.

Trained at the highest level since his arrival at Paris Saint-Germain in September 2023, Kolo Muani has made 54 appearances and 11 goals with the Parisian club over a season and a half. In the meantime, he was also loaned to Tottenham last season: in the Spurs jersey, he played 41 matches in all competitions, scoring five goals (including four in the Champions League) and providing four assists. However, Tottenham did not activate the purchase option.

This transfer marks a new stage in Kolo Muani's trajectory between major European clubs. For Juventus, the operation represents a significant but considered investment, based on performances already demonstrated in Turin and on the experience accumulated in the Champions League and the Premier League. The club hopes that his profile and his ability to score in decisive moments will help revive an attack that seeks consistency.

Now under contract until 2031, Kolo Muani will have to confirm over time and establish himself sustainably in Spalletti's eleven. Viewers and supporters will have the opportunity to appreciate his return to Serie A as he prepares for the 2026-27 season.
